How to Install WordPress on Bluehost?

We were pleasantly impressed by how simple it is to install WordPress with Bluehost – all you have to do is sign up, and Bluehost will take care of the rest for you. In order for you to succeed, we’ve broken down our experience in this guide. Technical difficulties are not present!

We have spent countless hours thoroughly evaluating and researching Bluehost. To provide you the best advice on how to install WordPress with Bluehost, we’ve also talked to other Bluehost customers and several experienced WordPress developers.

Choose a Bluehost plan.

Bluehost is well-known for its WordPress hosting services and is even one of the official hosts that WordPress recommends. Go to Bluehost’s WordPress section and scroll down to the “Choose Your Way to WordPress” section to get the best plan for you.

Just keep in mind that once you’ve selected a plan, the extremely low price you’re seeing only pertains to your first term. When it comes time to renew the plan, you’ll have to pay a higher renewal price. Even while this is normal of most hosting companies, it can be annoying if you weren’t prepared.

Identify a Domain Name

After choosing a plan, you’ll be prompted to select a domain for your website, which functions as the “address” for your website on the internet. You can input a domain at this point if you already have one that you want to use.

You can select your domain name extension by clicking “Create a new domain” on the drop-down menu (like .com, .net, or .org).

Don’t worry if you’re having problems coming up with a new domain; you may skip this step and return to it later.

Completed signing up

You’ll be prepared to purchase your new Bluehost plan once you’ve made your domain name selection.

You must provide your name, address, and payment details on this final page. Additionally, you’ll specify your preferred hosting plan and the duration of your initial term.

You can create a new Bluehost account by clicking the green “Submit” button at the bottom of the page after you’ve entered and reviewed your information and unchecked any fees you don’t want.

Register with WordPress.

The time has come for you to really install WordPress on Bluehost. And because Bluehost offers free WordPress installation, you can skip all the technical work, making this step the simplest of the entire process.

Simply log in and select the “My Sites” link from the left-side menu on your Bluehost dashboard:

Select whether you want to build your website using the WordPress.com website builder or the WordPress.org content management system by clicking “Create Site” in the top right corner of the screen.

(WordPress.org is a better choice for you since you use your own hosting company. You may learn more by reading our comparison of WordPress.com and WordPress.org.)

After selecting a WordPress option, provide a name and tagline for your website, which will serve as an introduction to the majority of visitors:

On the following screen, Bluehost will suggest a few optional (and free this time around!) WordPress plugins that you might like to install right now.

For instance, WP Forms may be used to create simple surveys and contact forms for site visitors to utilize to get in touch with you, and MonsterInsights interacts with Google Analytics to provide you access to a tool that will help you assess your traffic.
